My RU6 Story

Friday night I was sitting in front of the TV with my wife and I said "they're probably all sitting around at the hotel right now talking." It was like, maybe 10:30 at night when I said that. She didn't know what I was talking about so I had to explain it to her.
Saturday morning, I got up early and played some KoL, and then got in my car and drove to Baltimore. If I had only driven another five hours I could have made it to Chincoteague in time for Wizards of the Lost Kingdom II, but since I'd already seen it last year, I hung a right onto I-70 and went Ellicott City to play some SFB with the Battlegroup Baltimore. I got my butt handed to me on a platter, but I had a good time.
Got home from that around 6:00 and wondered if they'd watched the video I sent Sam yet.
Sunday morning I went to church. When I got home and was making some sandwiches for lunch around 1:30, I thought, "I wonder if they're at the beach yet?"
Played some KoL all Sunday afternoon, and didn't go to church Sunday night, so that evening I got the bright idea of calling somebody at RU6 on the cell phone. It was either going to be Ross or Amy since we all have Cingular and it doesn't cost us anything to call each other. I picked Amy because I can actually understand most of what she says when I talk to her on the phone.
I caught her in the middle of the Not Just Salads dining experience. Of course, she had to tell the name of the place like six times because I couldn't understand what she was saying. "Nacho Salads." "Notch Us Salads." I heard people talking and laughing and generally having a good time in the background. She told me that everybody had fun at the beach and that people laughed at our stupid movie. Then I said goodbye so she could finish eating.
Today I looked at some pictures that Ross posted. I want some of that Canadian Mountain Dew.
You know what? Knowing that an RU is going on and you're not there is probably one of the suckiest feeling known to mankind. I will sell my spleen to science if that's what it takes to make it to next year's.
