Ok, so between Google, studious perusal of the phone book (no I did NOT count all the numbers... we actually have decently informative phone directories), and my oh-so-informed mother, I have been able to reach the following conclusion:

I AM A DUMMY POOPOO HED.

Officially, slightly fewer than 5000 citizens reside within the town in question's limits. The number 30000 -- that apparently was borne of a long day, longer flight, and year-long drive, all simmered gently in a stew of espresso and sugar -- was the estimate of the COUNTY. Like... the whole thing. Like... lots of towns. And people. And cows.

So yeah. I've got jaffa crumb cake for brains. Yay.
