I'm ready for anything. I now have a tractor, and as soon as our antique VW gets here, I will be ready for scooter shows, car shows, and tractor shows.

So why a tractor? Well, this one has been if the family since it was new. Willette's father bought it shortly after WWII, and farmed with it until he retired. Even after that, he used it in the garden until his health failed. But it has just been sitting around ever since. Finally, my wife's brother suggested that their mom should sell it.

I have to admit that I have wanted that tractor for decades, so to keep it in the family, we bought it. We brought it home yesterday and it is out there in the back yard. It runs just fine and it seems to be complete. The paint is bad, and there is a dent or two in the sheetmetal, but it's really in good shape for a tractor that is almost 60 years old. With a little help from our two sons, maybe we can make it look new again. By that time, the car should be here and when there is a show, I'll really be ready.
