What Sam said.
I was stressed a few years ago over which college I was supposed to attend. I had been praying for a long time and I was "being led" back and forth and here and there between my two final choices. I asked my youth pastor for help, and he said this (paraphrased) --
Too often we think in terms of "right choice, wrong choice," "good choice, bad choice," etc., etc. Especially when we relate it to our faith, we want to please God, we want to do what His will is, we don't want to let Him down. We feel like we have to make the Right Choice for His plan for us to succeed, and if we make the Wrong Choice, we just ruined it completely for eternity. But perhaps it's not so. Perhaps He doesn't have one choice picked out for every decision that you're supposed to make Or Else. Perhaps God can lead you where He wants you to go no matter which choice you make in this specific decision. Perhaps there is more than one "right choice" in a situation, or no "wrong choice" at all. Life is far more flexible than we tend to think.
Perhaps I would have been in God's will whether I went to Moravian or to Fullerton, and I would have ended up where He wanted me no matter which school I attended. Perhaps you will be in God's will whether you attend this program or not, and you may still end up where He wants you.
It doesn't have to be Right Choice, Wrong Choice.
That said, if you were really hoping to go to this program, it is definitely a disappointment to have that plan set back. But you've been brought up with the capacity to make rational decisions and you can certainly see this through. As Sam said, keep praying -- but perhaps treat it as almost self-reflection, a conversation rather than an approach for a command. Step back, take a break, try to figure out your direction. You'll come to one.
