Hm... I don't know about cartoons, actually. I don't really know
what the relationship between a cartoonist and his characters is,
or how it might differ from that of a novelist. My impression is
that a cartoonist is more likely to use the characters as direct
mouthpieces than a novelist, but again I don't know. Perhaps
one of our resident cartoonists can shed light?

As for my novels, there's not much to tell... there's a first draft
of a detective story and an in-progress novel in the genre
usually described as "children's fantasy." It's only the beginning,
though... and once someone decides to publish them and pay
me millions of dollars, I'll let y'all know.
