I read in the news that there is a tunnel some 350 feet long connecting Washington and British Columbia. Yes. Somebody acturally dug a tunnel under the U.S.-Canadian border just like it was the Berlin Wall or something. The talking heads on TV blame it on drug smugglers, and even suggest that terrorists might have been planning to use it to bring something terrible into the good old U.S.of A.

Drug smuggling was close, but no cigar. The truth is that senior citizens in the U.S. got tired of paying inflated prices for medicine and started going to Canada. But now the drug companies are trying to push through legislation to make that illegal. They have a powerful lobby and it looks like they might succeed.

Well, those old folks didn't get to be old by being stupid. Somehow, they dug (or caused to be dug) a nice little tunnel under the border, just in case it was needed.

Now you know the true story. Would I lie to you?
