I don't know about the LetterMan powers, but check out Pheonix from the X-Men, she can read minds, is empathic has control over her powers, and she is also Telekinetic (move stuff with her mind) AND she wears a sexy green costume with a cool bird icon on her, uh, chest. Her daughter from an alternate dimention has the same powers on a higher level, can travel through time alter reality, and wears a very sexy red costume with spikes. She was also called Pheonix (she went to the future to form a cult to save our future and her past, I know my brain is doing backflippd too)
