We missed the parade here in town because it began at 11:00, which is naptime for my girls. What happened to the days when the parade started nice and early in the morning? 11:00? What's up with that? It's hot, it's lunch/nap time, bad idea.

Also, we went to bed shortly after the girls fell asleep, at around 9:00, and missed all the fireworks. We thought about stepping outside to see them, but we were just too tired.

We're getting old. Or it might be that having two kids just makes you feel old.
