On any given day during the tourist season, cruise ship passengers outnumber locals. But on a day when four big ships unload 10,000 or so tourist there, the natives of Skagway are hopelessly outnumbered. When we were there, we were the 4th ship in and a large ferry came in after us.

It's still my favorite town in Southeast Alaska.
