MV-Lev.1 Darn Green Pool/Pos.Spoiler

Hi and please advise. Down to 6 more kills and keep trying to access a certain pool. Got the stone which I used to get that certain 'gem' and tried solo and then with only some 'cubes' as in that area on lev.2. NO DICE and still repulsed. What am I missing here?
Know where 4 of the remaining 'kills' are and the other 2 are nicely damaged and missing. Hate to hit check point and lose the progress on those 2 as they were 'tough' and now are a bit more do-able, moo hoo ha ha ha.
I could surely use some expert advice as I've killed 2 since last check point and don't want to lose those by getting killed now, either. Banan (the chicken hearted) ha ha ha. Thanks
