My boyfriend tried to make me read a webcomic called "College Roomies from Hell!!!" (Yes, the three exclamation points are part of the title.) In one comic, a guy is rooting through a girl's trash can to try to find a TV she threw out when he sees the girl coming. Being not the brightest guy, he hides in the trash can. The girl finds him in there. When she asks what he's doing he tries to think of a good excuse:
"Meoooooow?"
"Studying the trash can ecosystem..."
"Rehearsing for a Broadway play..."
"I just wanted some privacy, thank you very much."
But what I love is what he finally settles on saying to her:
"HEH-HEHEHE! You mean this is not the elevator? I can't see a thing with these shades on..."
