We have a funky garage door. You can open it from the inside even when it's locked, and it will stay locked. So when you close it, you can't open it from the other side.

Last week, my parents and brother went to town for the day, leaving me by myself (ahh, silence). Midafternoon, I went out to flyspray my horse, give him some carrots, and do horsey things with him. I come back and realize, crap, I didn't unlock the door. To my shame, I am unable to pick locks; so I sat in the garage, looking at my father's tool bin, trying to figure out a way to break into our house while causing damage minimal enough to escape severe yelling. I finally realized that Dad's office window was open a tiny bit, so I pried the screen out with a screwdriver and nearly killed myself trying to climb over the computers and piles of junk on his desk. And then I made sure I unlocked the garage door.
