Fantasy Quest 1 - Help!

I hate asking for help, but I am really stuck. I've gone to every screen and clicked on every option at least 5 times.

My current inventory is:

Sack
Silver Coin
Carrot
Rope
Branch
Silver Key
Gold Key
Sword
Shovel
Scroll
Hammer
Nails
Bow
Arrow
Fishing Pole
Magic Stone
Club
Ticket
Sunstone

I've already used the fish and been in the tower. I've used the carrot multiple times on two different screens.

I'm assuming I should be able to do something with the magic stone, but I have no idea what, since I've tried every screen where it was an option.

I know there's a hook somewhere as well, but don't know where to look.

I've given the soothsayer 3 gold coins so far and have received nothing but advice in return.

Help!
