WOW's sysreqs are lighter, and it basically WILL run on the minimums (as I discovered), as long as you don't ever want to go to a major city and/or can tolerate frame rates below 1fps. Also, as I discovered, you can pick up a GeForce FX 5200 for about forty bucks these days, and it makes a pretty sizable difference. I mean, I'm just sayin'. :-}

Speaking of Doom and framerates, when Doom came out, I had a 386 SX-12. The minimum requirements, if I recall, said 486 SX-33. So I played it anyhow, and actually got all the way through episode 1 at substantially below 1fps. Those were the days. :-}
