There's a very good reason why, when you start a new thread, you're asked to include your inventory. And that reason is this: we can provide useful hints for people who've posted their inventory.

There are several things that you may or may not have done by this point in the game, that need to be done to get past the guard. We can better judge where you are in that sequence if we know your inventory, and thus we can give you hints that are useful because they're relevant to where you are.
