Heh. I've seen approximately six episodes of the Dukes since Stephen told me CMT was showing them, and in at least three they used bows, so it certainly doesn't seem to be a rare thing. In one episode, they shot holes in a moonshine barrel to both prevent Boss Hogg from getting it and to avoid getting caught with it, as that would of course violate their never-ending probation. In one episode, Daisy used a bow to shoot out the tires of a van being driven by Bo to prevent him from getting caught running shine (long story on that one). And in another they used a bow to shoot up a flare as a signal to Uncle Jesse and Cooter (nevermind that all of Hazzard County is either forest or field, and shooting road flares randomly into the countryside would probably start a massive wildfire!). I don't remember them actually shooting *at* anybody or destroying property (except for that barrel of shine), but bows are a huge part of the Duke boy's bag of tricks.
And yeah, the opening credits show them both taking aim at something and then letting fly--then there's a cut to the exploding outhouse. The implication is, of course, that they somehow blew up the outhouse with their arrows, but how that happened is still a mystery to me.
