Wasn't true for me. I remember having plenty of time left over to go back and check my answers. It has been a long time since I took the GRE, and it had been a long time before then since I took the SAT, but I remember thinking that the math sections of either test felt just about the same.

I *loved* how the general GRE had a verbal section and *two* logical-thinking (math/analytical) sections -- two thirds of the test was a piece of cake, instead of just half in the case of the SAT.
