Murkon's Vengeance - possible bug

I'm on Level 1, fighting a freeborn party. I've got 2 Dracoliches, 2 Rock Dragons and 2 Royal Escorts in tow.

After ambushing them, we get to the first round of combat. I see this take place:

"MURKON attacks Barmine and hits for 227 damage!

A Royal Escort attacks Barmine and hits for 484 damage!
Barmine dies!

Nightdeer casts CONCEAL.
The party is protected by 16 AC points!
A Rock Dragon casts a spell.
Withlyra is frozen for 32 damage!
Nightdeer is frostbitten for 30 damage!
Bulfi is frostbitten for 31 damage!"

And all of a sudden I'm minus one Royal Escort. So what happened to the poor fellow?
