Yes it did! I was actually going to do that before I bought the ring, but something came up and I got it for about 75 or 80 percent off, so I had to get the ring before talking to her parents. He just had to give me his speech on marriage, which was perfectly fine, and he gave me his daughter's hand in marriage. Over a week later, I finally was able to ask her. Good times. Acutally, she's now ringless, because we had to get it resized a half size and they have to keep it a week for some reason. They just better not lose it.
