> Well, last Saturday I proposed to Megan (my girlfriend for the last 3 and a half years). She, of course, said yes... well, this was after she yelled "are you kidding me!" a few times. I proposed to her at the place we met, the Amerihost Inn. Don't worry, it was a birthday party that we met at. > > I picked her up to go out to eat, and on the way there I pulled the "I think my tire is flat" stunt. But, when I pulled into the parking lot, the place that I wanted to propose, which was a patio like area at the front of the building, was taken by some fat guy with no shirt. There was no way I was going to propose to my girl near a fat man with no shirt. So I pulled toward the back under a light and got out to "check my tires." When I came back around to the front of the truck I looked oddly at my front bumper and fingered her to come out. When she did, I then proposed. She did the yelling when I took the ring box out, then she did more when I opened it. > > Funny thing, when she finally was able to say yes, a window opened on the second floor and a guy yelled "HEY!" We instantly think that we were making too much noise or needed to move the truck. But he then yelled, "Congradulations!" Which I thought was really nice. > > We haven't set a date yet. Her being in school and me just getting a new job at the hospital don't put us in the best spot financially to get married at the time, but she's going to try to get a Nurse Interim job at the hospital after her fist year of nursing school. I'm very happy about all of this. It's extremely refreshing knowing that you WILL be married one day, instead of having to still look or be questionable about it. > > -Scott
