there is always a snag posted by Howard on Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at 21:07:16:

I was having trouble posting pics on my blog because the picture URL's were too long. So I went to Tiny and they quickly fixed me up with a short URL to the picture. I tested it and it worked great. Then I went to my blog and found out that in order to post it there it had to have a JPG suffix on the URL. So how can I get Tiny to put a JPG (Jpeg or other such) on there? I tried "contact us" and all I got was the dreaded "This page cannot be displayed." > Help! > Howard
One thing you can do is just paste the URL of the directory into TinyURL, and then add "/.jpg" to the end of what it gives you.
For example:
http://www.jwoodandcompany.com/2004/daytona/Cushman-rt.jpg
Give this section to TinyURL:
http://www.jwoodandcompany.com/2004/daytona
It becomes:
http://tinyurl.com/7f7rg
Add the filename back in:
http://tinyurl.com/7f7rg/Cushman-rt.jpg
And, voila...
