Murkon's Vengeance (Level 8)

I'm probably going to feel stupid after I figure this out, but I'm stuck at the beginning of level 8. I've killed all four parties near the entrance (all red), but can't figure out how to get past the repeating first room. I've tried walking different paths across the floor and other such things. At one point I got into another room with a Potion of Agility, but I ended up back in the first room again and don't know how I got to the other room in the first place.

I'm clueless...
