Every time I start typing in her address, Outlook prompts me with both xyz@aol and xyz@comcast. But since the AOL one is defunct, I'd like to delete it.

Do you still have xyz@aol.com against your sister's name anywhere in your address book/contacts? If so, go in there and remove it, because that's where Outlook is looking when it finds addresses for you. If it's not there it won't find it.
