We will be sailing from Vancouver to Seward and then by bus to Anchorage to fly home. I believe the start date is May 20, and it might be cool in Alaska. I think I'll pack a sweater or three. > > > > Hope you have a blast. Comfortable with a sweater or light jacket. I like vacationing in places that aren't 40 degrees (104 F) with blistering sun directly overhead. I can actually get outside and enjoy myself in spring weather. > > ^v^:)^v^ > F"I guess we'll keep going to Madeira in the winter and Alaska in the summer then"B
Our fall cruise might be California to Hawaii. I don't find either of those locations to be very hot in Sept - Nov. But I am aclimated to Tennessee summers with temps in the 80's and 90's plus high humidity. Hawaii is pleasantly cool to me. 82 is considered a hot day there if you are near sea level but if you go inland up into the mountains, you might need a sweater. At 9000 to 13,000 feet you usually need a heavy jacket with a hood. At about 2500 feet, they have a perfect climate, but you need to go to Maui or Hawaii to find accomadations at that elevation. Oahu, Molkai, Kauai and Lanai have mostly peaks at that elevation.
Keep cruising and sooner or later, we'll connect. Howard
