Holy smokes, Sammy, I think you've helped me figure something out. I've always wondered why I couldn't brake smoother with my left foot and that is the answer. That makes complete sense. You described how it has been for me exactly when you say you could get it to be less abrupt but never smooth. Of course, it is rare for me to need to brake with me left foot.

The funny thing is, we were talking at lunch about "Ah-HA!" moments and I couldn't remember my last one. Now I have an answer.
