You have the orange, you just don't know it yet. Hint: doing what I'm suggesting to the train will get you hurt if you do it to a loud, ticking thing.

If you figure out how to translate the letter, let me know- I'm stuck there. I've been through the game 3 times and I'm under the impression that I need to correct the passwords by one letter. Here's my inventory:

A Rusty, Old Axe
An Empty Tea Cup
A Short Brass Letter Opener
A Pink Letter
A Wooden Coo-Coo Clock

A Big Toy Train
Some Tea Bags
A Dirty Envelope
An Orange Sharp Orange Peeler
A Green Bottle Full of Sizzling Potion

and my options:
Go north.
Go south.
Look.
Examine plants.
Move plants.
Put letter in envelope.
Put tea in cup.
Eat train.
Drink potion.
Read envelope.
Read letter.
Read train.
Say something.
Say, "SGULSUTAG."
Say, "GATUSLUGS."
Help.
