I'm a little bit foozie headed right now. I spent the morning at the hospital, where they knocked me out long enough to examine a hard to see area. "Going in for tests" is a plague that those of us over 50 have to endure.
The good news is that they didn't see anything that didn't belong there, and they even gave me the pictures which they deemed suitable for framing. At my request, the lady who put me under put me waaaay under. Five years ago, I woke up during the worst part of that proceedure and I wanted to avoid it happening again.
So now I am back to normal, eating real food and drinking things that taste good. I managed to spill two glasses of water and a cup of coffee in the recovery room, so they told my wife/dietician/care giver/travel companion/travel agent/secretary that I was in there making a mess of myself. Back home now, my hands are working well enough to type and my brain is up to about half speed which is almost normal.
Sorry to say this, young folks, but your time is coming. They will poke and prod and completely destroy any sense of privacy that you might have, but your chance of living 100 years will be greatly improved. Howard
