Yes, I know it was a play and then a Hollywood Musical, but it has some good music and lots of flashy scenes. I think it could be a hit. > > > > Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell would be a tough act to follow, but we probably have some people who could do. Present day movie goers shouldn't have any problem understanding why diamonds really are a girl's best friend. > > Howard > > > Hm... I was in the play last spring (for my high school), and a cable station just happened to be showing the movie around the same time. That is the only time I can honsestly say that a high school production was better than a Hollywood movie. Mind you, I'm probably overstating the quality of our production there, so I don't think the movie was /terrible/... > > Then again, perhaps that's a good reason to remake it... the new version would likely end up better than the old. :)
And then maybe you just prefer live productions. I saw "Cats" live and then watched the video soon after and the live one was best. And maybe I'm another one who prefers live performances.
I've seen "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" on the stage and the screen. That one was close to a toss up. Howard
