Early Years: Can't get back to Vampire Hall

I got onto the hill where Vampire Hall is, found the
branch, and did some further exploring to see if I'd find
anything else... and walked right off the hill by accident.
I don't have the means to get another carrot, and the
horses won't do anything even though I already fed
them one.
