In the current poll, I had to check War of the Worlds. I saw the original movie with Gene Barry about 50 years ago and several times since then on TV. What was state of the art special effects circa 1955, is beginning to look a little phony. So I'm really interested in comparing the old and the new. I'm expecting the new one to compare with the fifties version about like that one compared to the thirties radio show. Ahhhhh, progress.
