Sorry, this topic's all getting a bit jumbled up.
Anyway, to get into the tower, you need to find a secret path somewhere. I don't know the game that well, but I think it's somewhere near the troll bridge. You need to rustle some bushes.
As for getting in, I'm pretty sure that relies on a password, so you'll have to see for yourself.
BTW, are you talking about the fortress coming from the maze, or have I given you completely the wrong directions?
