Aimlessly Wandering Vampire Hall

I have spent two hours on this thing, trying to find something. I go in, become mysteriously moved to the other floor, go in the master bedroom, then become mysteriously moved anywhere except where I need to be (and I don't even know where that is). I've killed the dark room vampire and got the key and the cross and done everything I can think of.
My inventory:
An Iron Key
A Silver Key
A Cross
A Thick Branch
A Signed Document

I've read all the previous posts on this but I just can't get anywhere! Please help!
