> 1. As I was playing, I made a little chart showing which games unlock which games. My chart, for example, shows that Vampire Hall unlocks The Jewel of Montol, and only The Jewel of Montol. And that the game that unlocks Time Machine is Adventure, and only Adventure, which also unlocks Dragon! and Trapped in Castle Bombadier. My question is: Am I correct in my assumption (pretty much the basis of the chart) that each game is unlocked by one and only one game?

No, although I believe this is true for the bonus games. Some of the core games are unlocked when you've finished both of two others.

The exact chart should actually become available to you as a bonus reward, once you've finished all the games.

> 2. The yellow boxes in "The Early Years" -- are those the "status lines" mentioned in the Smash documentation?

Yes.

> 3. "View Granny's Garden 3 screenshot #3"? Is that a typo, or was there a third game that's not mentioned in the "Read about Granny's Garden" text?

Typo, now fixed. Thanks.

> 4. Would I be correct in guessing that The Early Years was a large part of the reason Smash was created? And is it a large part of the reason you were checking out your disks last June?

No and no. With regard to the first question, the creation of Smash was due in large part to gremlinn's needs for SOAT. His inability to do certain things in AGLL conveniently, or at all, made me want to revisit the language and do a thorough renovation of it and make it more powerful and capable of accomplishing more general tasks.

With regard to the second question, the cause and effect are backwards. In revisiting and recovering my old Apple work, I was inspired to port it over.

> 5. Did you have some mental image of what the Shibble looked like, or what a knocker blocker did?

Um. I don't think so. Scary, huh?

> 6. Which twists in Tower of Terror did you come up with, besides the additional monsters?

None, really. The Early Years version, though, is a floor higher and rescales the pulse rate effects of all the monsters. Since I only extended the monster list for the original game and didn't adjust how it affected the calculations for how much your pulse should raise after each one, some strange things resulted: you could never survive advancing past the strongest monster, and if you advanced past the weakest monster, your pulse rate would actually go down.

> 7. I'm curious -- why no screenshot of the arcade section of Bombadier 2?

That's a good idea, actually. I'll consider adding one.
