Where did my horse go?

OK, this is definitly my fault. So hannibal had to get a new shoe, so I took him to the blacksmith, paid him the 7 dollars the next day, but clearly i did not read something right because now I can't find Hannibal. Any ideas as to where he may be?

also, The woman gave me the ring, but am i supposed to see her again before i leave for any reasons?

I heard that the guy in room 8 is useless. is this true?
