Talk to both Kepler and Johnson to get the full instructions for it, and follow them carefully. You can enter from Kepler's office to start. You'll be using a certain kind of switch to gain access to the different parts of the OSM Tube. Experiment to see which doors become locked/unlocked when you flip this switch, and you'll be able to see the pattern and the way to solve the problem.
