Christmas Traditions

Merry Christmas, everybody.
The Christmas season always has me anxious. Only in the best ways, of course. Except that I'm usually so excited for Christmas that I wake up at 3 in the morning. EVERY YEAR. And in our family, no one's even allowed to step foot outside their bedroom until 8.
I think, though, that I like Christmas Eve more than Christmas day itself. Beside the anticipation, Christmas Eve is when our family Christmas traditions get re-enacted. Every, we have the same meal (clam chowder and a cheeseball with crackers), recieve new pyjamas, read from the Christmas story in Luke, and then, in our new pyjamas, pile into the car and go look at Christmas lights.
Every year, it's the same, and every year, it's the most enjoyable thing that's gone on in a long time. I wonder sometimes what Christmas would be like without our traditions.
Warm Christmas Greetings to you and yours.
