Second of all, yeah -- I hear you. I had many of the same feelings about my own thirtieth birthday. I remember being a little glum, actually, over the things in life that hadn't turned out the way I imagined when I was younger. But there didn't seem to be any special importance inherent in turning "the big three-oh".

I, too, wonder occasionally what I'll think about life at age forty. The first two years of my fourth decade of life haven't been anything to write home about. Especially since, hey, I *am* at home, so who would I be writing to anyway? o.O
