If you read a comic called "Bizarro," you will get a lot of good belly laughs and with a little luck, a look at one of my antique motor scooters.
I am not making this up. I exchanged a few emails with the cartoonist and he said he plans to put a Cushman, possibly my 1947 model, into one of his cartoons.
This all started when he showed a monkey on a Vespa in a cartoon, and I looked up his web site and sent him a comment about the scooter. It seems he used a Vespa that belongs to him as a model for the picture. So I sent him some pictures of my Vespas and, naturally, my Cushmans. He seems to like my oldest scooter best. That is no surprise to me, because it has always been my favorite.
So watch the comic page in you local paper. Even if you never see my old scoot, you will get a lot of laughs. "Bizarro" is the best thing that has happened to the comic page since "Calvin and Hobbs." Howard
