Yes, I've been lucky. I realize that I have beat the odds by being able to really enjoy myself 11 years after retirement. We both worked hard for a lot of years, and we often did without things so we could travel a little later in life. I always assumed that we would just load up the tent and camp around the country. But who knew that our daughter would wind up working for a major airline? Who knew that a cruise ship vacation would be only a few bucks more than a camping vacation? Sometimes, everything just falls into place.
