Level 2 & 3 in Murkon's Refuge don't seem to lead anywhere

I've been searching around levels 2 & 3 of the labyrinth but they don't seem to lead anywhere. Level 2 just keeps leading me back to the start and
I can't get out of one area in level 3. Is there a different staircase in level 2 that leads to a different area of level 3 or something? Thanks.
