OK, even though I have this Map, I can't seem to find the desert. I wish I could get lost in the desert, like everyone else, but I can't even get there. Is this another one of those annoying Lynnville timing issues, or am I totally missing something?

(I've fought indians, cheaters, arsonists, met two people at dinner, but only one afterward, etc.)
