You make a good point about being athletic without being professional or successful. But I think almost anyone who answered the question answered in terms of what they could make of themselves having been given those parameters. Otherwise, I think we'd all want to just be rich. Then, I'd be too stupid to know I wasn't attractive or athletic. The question of whether you'd want to STAY any of those things is a totally different one than whether you'd want to BE any of those things.
