Just to help keep everybody aware of geography, I submit the following:
New Mexico is a state and not a foreign country.
There are two Colorado Rivers. One in Grand Canyon and one in Texas.
The North Pole is not in Alaska.
Climates are warmer to the south until you cross the equator, and then they begin to get cooler.
Rivers do not flow south because it is toward the bottom of the map.
You cross the ocean to get to Hawaii, but you are still in the USA.
The Rocky Mountains are taller than the Appalachian Mountain, but they not nearly as old.
The New River is among the oldest rivers in the United States.
Florida has a longer coastline than California.
Measured east to west, Texas is longer than California measured north to south. But measuring California north to south is not as easy as it looks.
Interstate highways that travel east to west have even numbers, while north to south interstates have odd numbers.
In Hawaii, interstate highway numbers begin with the letter H, as in I-H1. But are they really inter state?
Columbus' theory about sailing west to reach the East was good in theory, but in actual practice, it stunk. Howard
