That was the Libertarian candidate Michael Badnarik. His running mate was Richard V. Campagna.
Sample Ballots are good to keep around. They're so informative. Less so when they leave big white splotches on 2 out of 8 constitutional amendments, but still.
Yep, a third-party candidate has to do something really noteworthy to avoid the fade into obscurity. I knew Nader as a consumer advocate long before I knew him as a Presidential candidate. Pat Buchanan, from the last election, was a familiar name. Perot, from a few elections ago, publicized himself for the election. I didn't know of him before, but he sure made himself known. I think he even got his own scoreboard on ABC news. Other than that, my mind blanks.
But when you're the Democratic or Republican opposition to the incumbent, fame is pretty much a given.
