FQ2 Giraffe - ready to quit

I have gone in and out of the caverns & to the valley taunting him. I either get trambled or eaten. I've gone north south east west zigged zagged & loopy.

I have yet to get the option to throw sap on him or anything.

I've been at this for the past 4 hrs and I'm ready to quit.
