FQ2, quick question

In the hints menu for FQ2, it says that you need a certain item to kill the cyclops.
I have not gotten past him, and I would only like to know if the certain item is the iron support.

Just yes or no, nothing else please. I want to try to get through FQ2 with the fewest hints as possible.
