I have encountered the word "fiver" a good number of times, though I cannot remember the nationalities of the people who used it and it never occurred to me that it might be a regionalism. The *first* time I encountered the word was in a book written by a Briton, though.

I have only ever encountered the word "tenner" once prior to that post, and that was in another book written by another Briton.

Lucky "'Tenner' was in an illustration, though, and while I know the author is British, I'm only assuming the illustrator is British -- which seems like a safe assumption given this thread" Wizard
