I was curious about the Fantasy (letter, letter, etc.) name-generator sets, or slightly more specifically, the origins of the creation rules.

Basically, I play a MUD, and one of the fan-sites for it contained pre set-up links to the Fantasy Name Generator, following rules for names for the various in-game races.

I generated some name sets with the new rules, and noticed that the results came up along the same lines as the rules on that fan-site.

So I was curious as to where the rules came from.
