I hate to say it, but it has to be said... what you're describing essentially IS starting over.

Actually I do intend to do just what you've said, though. I'll jump back to Perinn and start a new game with a new set of characters, and when they finally make it to Teralt I'll probably loan my poor rogue some money and let him have another go at it.

But the characters won't be for the sole purpose of saving the rogue. They'll have their own adventures in the labyrinth. :o)
