A couple of years ago, somebody tried to steal my canoe. They cut the aluminum bar across the center to get the chain off. They knocked a hole in the side and generally beat it up. They actually got it loose, but didn't take it.

I have had so many projects going, I couldn't seem to get around to fixing it, but about a week ago, I went out and bought a piece of aluminum, some sand pager and some fiberglass repair goo, paint and primer. I patched the hole and filled a bunch of dents and scrapes and sanded and sanded and sanded. This morning I sprayed it with primer and this afternoon I sprayed it with the first coat of bright red paint. If hurricane Frances co-operates, I will put the final coat of paint on tomorrow.

I can't wait to slide it into the pond.
